Can you feel the beat? That must be Ilex aquifolium Golden DJ! This variety has such vibrant colours, it makes you want to move your feet! Golden DJ has refined, dark green foliage with yellow, serrated edges. It grows to 47" high and 20" wide. Golden DJ is a mutation of Ilex aquifolium ‘Alaska’.
You can prune Golden DJ all year round. It grows well in well-drained, fertile, sandy, loamy and peaty soil. You can choose a spot in either sun, partial shade or shade. Winter hardy to USDA zone 6a. Golden DJ is excellent as a solitary on balconies and terraces, in combined planting, mass planting and borders. Also suitable as hedge and for urban green projects.
